Currently member of the University of the West of England property boards for the past +15 years, and retired non- executive chairman . Founder member of CSBA with Stellar Clarke in the 1980’s and currently its Chairman.
Currently based in Bristol and able to offer broad experience in advising clients and leading multidisciplinary design teams on large complex projects.
After retirement in late 2017 Annie was invited to become a Trustee of CSBA specifically to support the welfare responsibilities of the charity’s board and staff.
He is at the forefront of leading the Community Self Build Agency (CSBA) in supporting homeless ex-service personnel to build their own homes and get back into work.
Stella sat on board of the Housing Corporation, and subsequently asked to chair the charity they set up for Self-Build after the St Pauls Riots in Bristol, which later became CSBA.
A career in agriculture in the UK and tropics followed by 30 years in the UK property world, heavily involved in regeneration and property development.
Helped establish the Drake Foundation Charity in Plymouth and was a Trustee for many years. Two years as Trustee of the Devon and Cornwall Food Association.
Trustee with CSBA for two years.
Invited to join CSBA by Stella Clarke at a Young Builder event at the Houses of Parliament, he worked with local builders’ merchant contacts to assist in the first Bristol project. As a Trustee, he has subsequently taken particular interest in the Plymouth project.
Following a career in the Royal Navy and working with local companies I am responsible for welfare & fellowship, general wellbeing, financial and career recovery and support to wounded, injured, and sick veterans and their families whilst building their own homes.
